The plan calls for demolishing buildings already present on the property, which is located at the intersection of Naamans and Peachtree roads to make way for the 13,821 square foot pharmacy.

The rezoning was passed unanimously by council members. The project is located in an area represented by Councilman John Cartier (D-Holly Oak).

"We're going to recycle two old residential buildings instead of demolishing them and throwing them in a landfill," Cartier said.

The plan calls for demolishing the buildings already on the property and 3.2 acres of on-site forest mitigation. Additional reforestation will also occur at Fox Point State Park.
