Sussex Central rolls past A.I.

Sussex Central's Taylor Pritchett scored 33 points to nearly outscore A.I. duPont as a team in a 69-39 victory in the opening round of the DIAA Girls Basketball Tournament Tuesday.

A 4-point lead after the opening quarter exploded for the Golden Knights as they outscored the Tigers 15-9 in the second quarter and 22-6 in the 3rd to take control of the game.

Jasmine Hudson added 13 points to help No. 1 Sussex Central advance to take on No. 6 Concord in the 2nd round Thursday night.

Freshman Lauryn Griffin led A.I. with 14 points.
