Dover Police Cpl. Suspended for Alleged Use of Excessive Force
By Kelli Steele

A Dover Police officer is suspended with pay due to allegations of excessive force stemming from an incident last summer.

Police say Corporal Thomas Webster was called to a Hess gas station on Route 13 for reports of a fight. Lateef Dickerson, who was involved in that fight, alleges that Webster used excessive force on him as he arrested him.

The state Attorney General's office will present the case charging Webster with assault to the grand jury in Kent County next Monday.
