Delaware tapped for education coalition
By Carl Kanefsky Share

Delaware will get a seat at the table as part of a multi-state consortium aimed at bettering the country's public school system.

Officials with the National Center on Education and the Economy announced Delaware, Arizona and New Mexico will join the "Tough Choices or Tough Times" reform agenda.

Governor Markell says by being a part of the group, Delaware will gain greater access to outside experts committed to making the most of public education.

The three new states will join Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Utah, which were the initial states chosen for the group last year.
