Police: Man robs Claymont PNC Bank

A man robbed a bank branch in Claymont on Friday, police said.

It happened at 4:16 p.m. inside the PNC Bank at 691 Naamans Road.

A man entered the store and presented a note to a 49-year-old teller, police said.

She complied with the demand and turned over cash to the suspect, who then fled. No one was injured, police said.

The suspect is described as white, 45 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build and a beard.

Video surveillance was not available for release, police said.
