Take a look at the ground beef in your freezer--it may be part of a recall due to possible E.coli contamination.

The state Department of Agriculture says some of the beef, processed by Ashville, New York's Fairbank Farms September 15th and 16th with sell-by dates between September 19th and 28th, may have been sold at Acme, Giant, BJ's and Trader Joe's stores in Delaware.

The beef was sold in 1-and 2-pound packages and trays with establishment number 482 inside the USDA inspection mark or on the nutrition label.

Freezing doesn't kill the E.coli bacterium, so if you do have any of the recalled beef in your freezer, you should return it to the store where you bought it.

E.coli can cause dehydration and kidney failure which can be fatal, especially in elderly people and young children.

Two people have died and 28 have been infected in other states by the recalled beef, but there are no reports of illness in Delaware so far.
