The eSignature system makes it possible to transfer information electronically between the DMV and the state Department of Elections, making it possible for you to register to vote or update your voter registration when you apply for or renew your driver's license or state ID card.

Governor Markell says the system makes state government "more effective and efficient", since electronic registration will save paper and lower manpower costs.

The state Department of Elections, DELDOT and the Department of Technology and Information announced the launch of eSignature Monday.
