Laurel man stabbed in restaurant parking lot
By Michelle Provencher

State Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing that happened this morning outside a Rehoboth restaurant.

A 22-year-old Laurel man leaving the Delaware Distilling Company, located at 18693 Coastal Highway, around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, allegedly backed his car into another vehicle.

Troopers say several people who witnessed the fender-bender approached the victim, pulling him out of his car and physically assaulting him.

That's when investigators say an unknown suspect stabbed the victim in his upper torso.

The victim was transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He is reported in stable condition.

Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police or Crimestoppers.
