State troopers have arrested a suspect behind the robbery of a Milltown 7-11.

Investigators say 32-year-old Matthew Ohop of Wilmington was covering his face with a T-shirt when he went inside the 5601 Kirkwood Highway convenience store at almost 4:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say Ohop climbed over the counter, implied he was carrying both a handgun and knife, then demanded cash from the 45-year-old male clerk.

After turning over the register's contents, Ohop fled. No one was injured.

But using surveillance footage, police say they were able to connect Ohop to the crime.

Ohop was taken into custody without incident at his home in the 700 block of 8th Avenue, in Murray Manor Mobile Home Park.

Ohop faces first-degree robbery charges. He's being held at Howard Young on $44,000 bail.
