Williams answers question on Thunderguards' campaign claim
By Peter MacArthur

Officials with the Thunderguards used a megaphone during a rally Monday, now Mayor Dennis Willams speaks his mind about the motorcycle club.

Club officials say they're being unfairly blamed for crime in the city and say they even have members who attended Williams' victory party after he won the mayoral election.

Williams' response...

"Santa Claus could have been at my election victory, everybody comes on board when you win. There were hundreds of people there, people I didn't even know. Everybody is going to say they were with you when you were a winner. If I was a loser, I bet no one would say they were working on my campaign."

Williams says he fully supports the right of the Thunderguards to rally, and says while he didn't meet with them Monday, his door is always open.
