Developers want to buy land for city casino
By Associated Press Share

Two developers intend to buy land in Wilmington for a casino project.

Philadelphia real estate developer Kevin Flynn says he and Atlantic City lawyer George Miller have signed a contract on

20 acres overlooking the Christina River on the Seventh Street peninsula.

Flynn says the sale is contingent upon the legislature approving additional venues, city approval and resolution of issues concerning access from I-495.

Some legislators want to expand gambling to sites in Sussex County and Wilmington.
