Consumer warnings for gift cards

If you're one of the people still finishing holiday shopping, you may want to think twice about buying store gift cards for people.
Speaking on Delaware's Afternoon News, Ian McConnell, the head of the Consumer
Protection Division in the Delaware Attorney General's Office, says consumers have to be
extra careful in today's economic climate. Audio Here
Other tips for gift cards...McConnell says it's a good idea to give the original
receipt to the recipient to verify the card's purchase in case it gets lost or stolen,
and always make sure you read the fine print on the card, including information about
expiration dates and fees.
