Dover residents electing new mayor
By Kelli Steele

Dover residents are heading to the polls today to choose a new mayor.

Former Mayor Carleton Carey abruptly resigned from the position this past April; now five men want his job.

The candidates are Former Council President and Councilman Robin Christiansen, Chevis Anderson, former State Board of Education Member Jeff Reed, current Councilman David Anderson and James Webster.

Today's election is to fill the mayor's spot for the remainder of the term, which expires in May 2015.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.
