Demand for blood donations on the rise

The Blood Bank of Delmarva desperately needs blood and platelet donors.

The non-profit says the upcoming 4th of July holiday is increasing the need, saying current blood inventories are "inadequate."

The Blood Bank needs A positive and universal blood type O Positive the most.

Donations are in such high demand, they'll accept walk-ins.

You can donate blood at the following locations:

Christiana Donor Center
100 Hygeia Drive

Mon-Th: 7:30am-7:30 pm
Sat: 7:30am-2:00pm
