Car drives into Newark house
No serious injuries when a car runs into a Newark home, getting about seven feet inside before coming to a stop.
Police say the car drifted off the side of Chrysler Avenue and hit a mailbox, and the
driver, a 43 year old with learner's permit, lost control of the vehicle as he brought it
back onto the street.
The car then moved through the intersection with Apple Road, and through the front
yard of a home in the 500 block, striking the house.
One person inside the house was home...Police say alcohol was not a factor.
