Report: Charter, vo-tech schools spend less in classroom

Part two of a report on school spending in Delaware says charter and vo-tech schools spend less on costs directly related to education than traditional schools.



Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn, whose office released the report Monday, says the reason for the discrepancy is obvious, given how charter and vo-tech schools are set up.Audio Here

The first half of the annual report, released last month, said school districts in Delaware could spend up to 28 million dollars more in the classroom without raising taxes, if all districts spent money in the classroom at the same rate as Delaware's best-performing districts.
