No injuries were reported after a house fire near Elsmere Thursday afternoon, town fire officials said.

Firefighters were called to a home on the 1100 block of Dilworth Road in the Willow Run community about 2 p.m., said Tom Mitten, a spokesman for the Elsmere Fire Company.

The first arriving firefighters found flames coming from the upper level of the home and deployed a hose line through the front door, Mitten said.

Crews from nine area fire companies responded to the fire and helped ventilate the house through the roof, Mitten said.

The blaze was reported to be under control about 2:38 p.m., he said.

No injuries were reported and the occupants were believed to have evacuated from the home.

The state fire marshal's office is investigating the incident. A damage estimate was not available.
