A New Castle man may be wishing he'd stayed in the car he was riding in after County police found nearly eight grams of heroin and cash on him Friday.

Police say officers pulled the car over for a traffic violation on Route 13 near Route 273 Friday, and when they did, Shawn Williams got out and ran off.

After a short chase, the cops caught Williams and found he was carrying 521 bags of heroin and more than $1,400 in cash.

He's being held at the Howard Young Prison in lieu of bail.
