VIDEO: Highlights and Reaction to Woodbridge's victory

Woodbridge's Ricky Kane recorded 10 strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings of work as the hosts defeated Newark National 7-2 to force a decisive final game of the Delaware Little League Tournament.

Woodbridge lost 13-4 to Newark on Friday, but got off to a confident started as Kane struck out 3 of the first 4 batters he faced, only allowing a 1-out walk in the first two innings.

His offense then gave him all the supposed he would need in the 2nd, as eight batters came to the plate. Brock Keeler led off the inning with a single, and after a strikeout and Vance Joseph reaching on an error, and then another strikeout, the bottom of the order was due up.

Eight-hitter Tyler Heder showed what he could do by slicing a double under the grove of a defender all the way to the wall for a 2-run double. Nine-hitter Joey Marquez then singled to left to make it 3-0.

The lineup turned, and so did Gabe Wescott as he crushed a pitch out to left, to make it 5-0 Woodbridge.

Keeler would add two more by slamming a homer almost to the exact same place as Wescott's, and Woodbridge's damage was complete.

Newark National's Will Dubecq brought home two runs with a 4th inning single, but that would be the only runs, and only hit off of Kane on the evening.

The teams will meet at Woodbridge Monday night in a winner-take-all battle. The victor will go to next weekend's Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bristol, Conn. Newark National won that regional last year to earn Delaware's 2nd-ever trip to the Little League World Series.
