Dash use two big innings to beat Blue Rocks
By Don Voltz

Winston-Salem scored three runs in two separate innings as they beat the Blue Rocks, 6-1, Sunday, at Frawley Stadium.

The Blue Rocks took a 1-0 lead on Cody Stubbs solo home run in the second inning, his 9th of the year.

But offensively, it was all Winston-Salem after that. The Dash put three runs on the board in the 6th, with a hit batsman and four straight singles doing the damage.

It could have been worse but Winston-Salem's Justin Jirschele hit into a triple play to end the inning.

The Dash tacked on three more runs in the 8th on a three-run home run by Grant Buckner.

The Rocks have a rare day off today before starting a series in Lynchburg on Tuesday.
