Phillies' Burnett, Mets' Colon square off under watchful eyes

A pair of potential trade targets will take the mound tonight when the Phillies visit the New York Mets.

Philadelphia's A.J. Burnett and New York's Bartolo Colon have both been the subject of trade talk as the July 31 deadline looms. The Phillies are last in the National League East, entering Monday 12 1/2 games behind division-leading Washington. The Mets are fourth in the division, 8 1/2 games back.

Burnett is 6-9 on the year with a 3.86 ERA. In his last start, he went eight innings without giving up a run to San Francisco.

Colon is 9-8 with an ERA of 4.03. He won his last start, giving up 2 runs in 7.1 innings against Seattle.
