Rocks can't solve Myrtle Beach pitching
By Don Voltz

Myrtle Beach scored a run in each of the first two innings and that's all they would need in a 2-0 win over the Blue Rocks Tuesday night.

Jonathan Dziedzic deserved a better fate, after giving up just those two runs and two hits in six innings of work.

But Pelicans pitchers scattered six Blue Rocks hits as they were unable to solve starter Chad James who gave up just four hits, no runs and struck out nine in six innings of work.

Game two of the series is tonight at Frawley Stadium at 7:05.
