James, who signed with his hometown team this summer, is scheduled to play at the Wells Fargo Center against the 76ers on Monday, January 5 at 7pm.
The Sixers open the season with road games in Indiana and Milwaukee before playing their home opener on November 1 against Miami.
Kobe Bryant and the Lakers invade Philadelphia on March 30 for their only appearance.
