County police say a man with no known address committed two night-time burglaries in the Bear area.

Police say James Hutchinson broke into an unlocked car and used a garage door opener to enter a house on East Violette Drive in Springfields last Saturday morning, taking a wallet and credit cards.

Two days later, Hutchinson allegedly used the same method to get into a house on Walker Drive and stole a TV and a GPS unit.

Officers saw surveillance video of Hutchinson trying to use the stolen credit cards at local stores, and evidence from the crime scenes linked him to both burglaries.

He was arrested Tuesday and is in the Howard Young Prison in lieu of bail, charged with burglary, theft and unlawful use of a credit card.
