Phillies moving up coast
By Associated Press

The Phillies have today off after losing their third-straight last night to the Los Angeles Angels, 4-3. Their West Coast road trip will have the Phillies opening a series tomorrow night in San Francisco against the Giants.

The Phillies will turn to Cole Hamels to help right the ship in tomorrow night's series opener. Kyle Kendrick is penciled in for Saturday and David Buchanan will pitch on Sunday.

Howie Kendrick delivered a go-ahead, two-run single in the sixth inning, and Jered Weaver pitched six resilient innings in Wednesday night's win over the last-place Phillies.

The Phillies have dropped five of their last six games. They had a sixth-inning lead in both of their contests in Anaheim but couldn't hold onto it either time.
