Man shot in Wilmington's Trinity Vicinity

A 21-year-old man was shot Thursday night in Wilmington's Trinity Vicinity, city police said.

Officers were called to the 900 block of North Adams Street about 9:05 p.m. for reports of shots fired, Master Sgt. Donald Bluestein said.

Upon arriving, they found a man who suffered a gunshot would to his left hand, Bluestein said.

The preliminary investigation found the victim had been walking in the area when he heard gunshots. He started to run from where he thought the gunfire originated and was shot in the left hand, Bluestein said.

The man was taken to Wilmington Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

No suspects had been identified as of Thursday night, Bluestein said.
