Around 160 athletes hit the turf at Miller Stadium as Wesley held its opening preseason practice for the 2014 campaign.

The 5th-ranked Wolverines are coming off a 62-61 defeat to eventual runner-up Mount Union in the Division III National Quarterfinals last December.

Wesley returns a veteran offense, including All-American WR Steve Koudossou, TE Kyle George, and OL Devin Filliben, along with 2nd year starter QB Joe Callahan.

The defense looks to be anchored by senior linebacker Sosthene Kapepula, who is a candidate for National Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Wesley plays 4 of their first 5 games at home, but it figures to be a tough schedule, opening with No. 22 Thomas More (Ky.) Saturday, September 6 at 1pm inside Miller Stadium.

WDEL is proud to once again bring fans all the Wesley play-by-play this on 1150AM in Delaware, WDEL.com, and via the WDEL SmartPhone App.
