Man steals $6K worth of smokes in Newark
By Frank Gerace

Newark police are looking for a man who stole 6 thousand dollars' worth of cigarettes from one store, and may have tried the same thing at another days before.

Police say the suspect stole the smokes from the Tobacco Zone between midnight and 6:45 AM Sunday and got away in a dark-colored 4-door car, possibly a Dodge, with a Delaware license plate.

The same suspect, described as 20 to 30 years old, 5-10 to 6 feet tall, wearing a dark-colored hoodie, dark jeans and white sneakers, may also have tried to break into Fairfield News in the Fairfield Shopping Center on New London Road.

Anyone with information can call Newark detectives or Crimestoppers.
