Civilian in October cop fight comes forward
By Frank Gerace

One of 2 civilians who fought with 2 off-duty cops in Wilmington last month has now talked to investigators.

Mayor Baker and police chief Mike Szczerba say they're grateful, and are now asking the other civilian involved to come forward.

The fight happened in the 300 block of North Union Street October 24th and involved an off-duty city cop and an off-duty state trooper in addition to the civilians.

Once investigators have gathered all the information they can about the fight, they'll turn the case over to the state Attorney General's office for review.

Baker and Szczerba say they'd like the other civilian involved to come forward sometime this week.
