Smyrna man charged with child porn

Police have arrested a 54-year-old Smyrna man on child pornography charges following an investigation by state and local authorities.
Smyrna police spokesman Lt. Norman Wood says authorities raided the home of Stephen
W. Carman on Tuesday and seized computer equipment and a small amount of marijuana.
A warrant shows that officials spent the next two days examining Carman's belongings
and found more than 50 images of child porn.
Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden says this type of case highlights the need to
have the Delaware Child Predator Task Force.
Smyrna police arrested Carman on Wednesday, charging him with 29 counts of possession
of child porn. Carman is a registered sex offender.
