Prof: DE, NJ have law on their side in dredge flap

One legal expert says Delaware and New Jersey have a good chance of coming out on top in their battle against the Army Corps of Engineers over Delaware River dredging.

Widener University Law School professor Jim May says the law of the land is on the side of the states.Audio Here

May calls the case a one-of-a-kind blend of interstate and intergovernment issues, along with environmental questions.

Delaware last week and New Jersey this week sought federal injunctions to stop the Corps from proceeding with its plan to deepen the river's shipping channel by 5 feet from Philadelphia to the mouth of the Delaware Bay.
