| Republican US Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell | Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Christine O'Donnell says she's been the target of smears by Democrats and Republicans alike.
O'Donnell tells WDEL's Rick Jensen Show that she and others close to her were
targeted by the IRS after her 2008 campaign against then-Senator Biden. Audio Here
O'Donnell, who also ran for the Senate in 2006, says the false lien was an attempt to
reinforce the notion that she sold a house that was in foreclosure, a charge she says
isn't true.
O'Donnell, who leads Democrat Chris Coons in a Rasmussen Reports poll by 2 points,
within the survey's 3-point margin of error, also denies a charge by state GOP Chairman
Tom Ross that she campaign workers money from her '08 Senate bid.
O'Donnell will square off against Congressman Castle in September's Republican
primary for the chance to challenge Coons for the Senate seat now held by Ted Kaufman,
Vice President Biden's appointed successor.
