Taking the "Brunt"lett of Things
By Spencer Graves

n Eric Bruntlett's time with the Philadelphia Phillies has come to an end.

After recording an unassisted triple play, scoring the winning run in the World Series, the Phillies offered the utilityman a minor league deal in which he declined. Bruntlett hit just .171 this season and saw his time in the field diminish.

Bruntlett had more action in 2008 with the ankle injury of Jimmy Rollins and being a late inning defensive replacement for former Phillie, Pat Burrell.
