Federal Education Secretary Arne Duncan Thursday announced more than 36 million dollars from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is now available to Delaware, which has already gotten almost 226 million to fund more than 700 education jobs and support reform efforts.
Delaware's also gotten stimulus money for programs including Title One, Vocational Rehabilitation and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
To get the additional funds, the state education department had to submit an application to the Feds outlining what's already working in Delaware's eudcational system, what needs fixing, and what the department's fixes are.
