Old Dominion enters its 4th and final season in I-AA football with high expectations after winning a game in the NCAA Tournament last year.

The FBS-bound Monarchs finished 10-3 overall, and 6-2 in the CAA, earning a home game and a victory over Norfolk State before falling to Georgia Southern in the second round.

Bobby Wilder's returning crew includes sophomore quarterback Taylor Heinicke, who is the Pre-Season All-CAA quarterback of the year after tossing for 2,385 yards including an incredible 25-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Old Dominion will play this season eligible for the I-AA Tournament, but cannot win the CAA championship and automatic bid to the NCAAs as a result of the conference's announced exit policy.

Delaware will face ODU in Norfolk on October 27.
