Delaware junior cornerback Travis Hawkins is in his second season with the Blue Hens after transferring from Maryland.

Last year, his first at Delaware, Hawkins was selected second team All-CAA and was the team's top kickoff return man.

He's picked up right where he left off a year ago, currently 4th on the team in tackles with 26, including 3 pass breakups.

However, he had 4 interceptions last year and is still looking for his first this season.

Hawkins has scored this year, returning a blocked field goal 90 yards against William and Mary.

He's one of the fastest players on the team, utilizing that speed in kick returns with 8 this year, averaging 22 yards per runback.

Hawkins was highly recruited when he came out of high school in Rockville, Maryland...one scouting service had him listed as the 22nd best cornerback in the nation and 5th best player in Maryland.

The Blue Hens are counting on him to help lead one of the best secondaries in the country.
