By Don Voltz 10:23am, October 12, 2012Delaware senior wide receiver Nihja White is one of the senior members of the Blue Hens receiving corps...and one of its most accomplished.
White caught 4 passes against Maine on Saturday, giving him at least one catch in 37 straight games, second on the all-time Delaware list...only Eddie Conti is ahead of him at 38 straight games.
White is also in the top 10 in most receiving categories at Delaware, including 151 career catches, 8th best in Blue Hen history.
White is second on the team in receptions this year with 20, but he's only played in 4 of the team's 6 games because of nagging injuries.
He also hasn't found the end zone this year and the passing game has bogged down recently because of inadequacies on the offensive line.
White is confident the week off will help not only him, but others who are banged up and either, not playing at all, or limited in their production as a result.
Nihja has an interesting background...his father, Whitney, is a government executive who has worked closely with Presidents George Bush, Bill Clinton and Barak Obama...and Nihja has met all three chief executives.
