(Photo Courtesy of TrafficWatch's Andrew Sgroi)The planned closure of I-95 at the Route interchange has been postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.
DelDOT says the roadway will be open at the 202 interchange both northbound and southbound as usual. Governor Markell says the postponed closure will ensure people trying to escape the storm can do so successfully.
The interchange was scheduled to shutdown from 8pm-5am Friday through Monday. No word on when the construction will start up again.
DelDOT has also suspended construction at the Route 1/I-95 interchange Saturday and Sunday.
