By Frank Gerace 12:12am, November 2, 2012 - Updated 12:13am, November 2, 2012Michael Vick is still the starting quarterback as the Eagles head into Monday night's game in New Orleans against Drew Brees and the Saints.
The Birds held their first post-Hurricane Sandy press conference Thursday, Vick telling the assembled media he and his teammates have to step it up after a 3-game losing streak that's included blown leads and overall sloppy play.
"In the grand scheme of things, you know, you just gotta, you know, you gotta go out and gotta go be productive, and, you know, not just from me, but from everybody on this football team, and you know, we're holding everybody accountable and responsible right now for doing their jobs, and that's all it is, that's all it is."
Defensive end Jason Babin says the Birds have to be at their best Monday night, since prime-time matchups mean a national audience, and that should bring out the players' professional pride.
"Monday night games, Sunday night games are always, they're always a big deal. Everybody's watching--for us, it's y'know, it's our peers are watching us, y'know, the guys around the league, y'know, get a chance to watch us, so we wanna, y'know, make
sure we showcase, y'know, our best."
Last Sunday's error-filled loss to Altanta leaves the Eagles at 3 and 4 on the season, tied with Dallas just one spot from last place in the NFC East.
You'll hear Monday night's game on 1150 AM WDEL.
