WDEL's Mellany Armstrong reports.Dart is hoping for busloads of food during its 2012 'Stuff the Bus' campaign.
Patty Boyd of Dart First State says they hope to top last year's number.
"Last year we collected 11.2 tons of food, that's over 22-thousand pounds." Is that a record for you? "No, unfortunately, it's not. That is kind of an average number for us. 2010 was our record breaking year, and I believe it was close to 25 tons," she said.
This is the 25th year for the Stuff the Bus food drive. The Food Bank of Delaware will distribute the food. The buses will be parked at various locations in Delaware this week. For a schedule and a list of what items are needed, click here.
