By Don Voltz 8:20am, November 15, 2012Delaware senior wide receiver Nihja White says its hard to believe he'll be playing his last game in Blue Hen uniform Saturday against Villanova...and even harder to think it could be his last football game period.
Still, White plans to stay in shape and give the next level a try, with his eye on some pro days.
White leads the Blue Hens with 45 catches for 504 yards and a touchdown this season...in just 8 games.
White's career totals are 176 catches for more than 2100 yards.
White is 5th in career receptions at Delaware and 6th in yards....and holds the school record for catches in most consecutive games with 41.
White played on the 2010 national championship runner-up team and he says that whole season is his best memory of Blue Hen football...but he says the entire experience was worth it, even though his last two seasons resulted in no playoffs.
White also says he really wants a win over Villanova....not only would it give the Blue Hens a winning record at 6-5, but White, who grew up near Villanova in Wayne, Pennsylvania, says he knows a number of Villanova students and players and he wants to make sure, if Delaware isn't going to the playoffs, he doesn't want the Wildcats to go either.
