Light snow began falling in the area after the evening rush hour and the day's rain and warm temperatures prevented problems for motorists in the evening hours.
However, temperatures are expected to dip below freezing overnight so icy could be a concern in the morning.
Accu-weather says we'll get a coating to an inch of snow before the storm moves out -- a far cry from the two-feet of snow, or more that could fall on parts of New England.
