How would you like to make your own hovercraft? See a homemade one this weekend at Hagley Museum's 'Fashion, Sports and Fun with Nylon' exhibit.

It celebrates the 75th anniversary of nylon’s introduction to market by DuPont. But Joan Hoge-North, director of museum services at Hagley, says they have made a 21st century item with nylon.

An exhibit showcases the world's first synthetic fiber, including stories about how nylon stockings created riots in 1945.

The 'Fun with Nylon' event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the museum in Wilmington. Get more information at hagley.org. See the hovercraft by clicking here.
