More than three dozen officers are sworn in to participate in Checkpoint Strikeforce that kicks off next week just in time for July 4th.

The swearing in ceremony authorizes these officers to make arrests in other jurisdictions.

"In 2013, we had 42 fatalities, 34 percent of which have been alcohol-related. In 2012, we had 116 fatalities, nearly half of which were alcohol-related," says Attorney General Beau Biden, who administered the officers' oath.
