By Chris Carl 1:05pm, September 17, 2013 - Updated 1:31pm, September 17, 2013State agriculture officials say a second horse has tested positive for West Nile Virus in Delaware.
The two-year-old filly from Sussex County has recovered from the illness, as has the other horse which tested positive over the summer.
Owners are urged to vaccinate their horses against West Nile and other mosquito-borne diseases, which can be fatal.
Officials also point out the viruses are not transmitted between horses or from horses to people.
