Wesley looks to turn the page from a tough defeat when they hit the road to take on undefeated Birmingham-Southern Saturday afternoon.

The Wolverines dropped six sports to No. 11 in this week's D3football.com Top 25 poll following a 35-7 setback at then-No. 4 Mary Hardin-Baylor last Saturday.

Seven points marked the least amount of points for the Wolverines since losing 27-7 to Wisconsin-Whitewater in the 2010 Division III National semifinals. It also stands as the low water mark in a regular season game since Wesley was shutout 47-0 by SUNY Brockport in October 2005.

Standing in Wesley's way this week is another team receiving votes in the D3football poll, as the Panthers defeated new Division I-AA Program Stetson 49-34 to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Wesley had to score the final ten points of the game to escape with a 26-17 victory over BSC at Miller Stadium a year ago. Jeremiah Howe caught four passes for 103 yards in a touchdown in that game, while Wesley's defense intercepted three passes.

The matchup promises to loom large down the road in the South Region playoff picture, as both teams are in Pool B, the classification of Division III for teams not in automatic bid qualifying conferences. It is quite possible the two teams could be looked at later in the year, so a head-to-head victory would be critical.
