Ky-Air Hamilton's goal in overtime lifted St. Georges soccer over Mt. Pleasant in a 2-1 victory Thursday evening.

St. Georges entered the day 5-2 on the season as Mt. Pleasant came in at 6-1-1. It didn't take long for a team to score as Vito Montgomery received a beautiful pass splitting the defense and he would roll it into the goal to put his team up 1-0. The Hawks entered the half with that lead.

The momentum would shift into the Green Knights favor very late into the second half when Sama Tima put a well timed header on a direct kick that slipped past the Hawks goalkeeper, Mt. Pleasant tied the game up one all just before the end of the 2nd half.

St. Georges out shot their opponents 19 to 14 and it took it's toll in overtime as Ky-Air Hamilton arced a shot up into the northwest corner of the net that the Green Knights net minder couldn't reach. St. Georges wins 2-1.
