Sam Murphy led the way for Tower Hill with 3 rushing touchdowns and an interception in a 28-7 home victory against Wilmington Friends.

It was the 92nd overall meeting between the two schools in a rivalry that dates back to 1924. With the win on Friday night, Tower Hill boosted its all time record to 49-41-2 against their long time foes. There was even more history on the line on this night as the Hillers came in sporting a 9-0 record. A win would not only seal a conference championship, but it would give Tower Hill their first undefeated regular season since 1959.

Turnovers were abundant in this contest as the teams combined to give the ball to their opponents ten times in all, 6 by Tower Hill and 4 by Friends. And early in the second quarter, after a diving interception on a tipped pass by Jermaine Knotts Jr., running back Sam Murphy cashed in for the Hillers with a 66-yard TD run two plays later making it 7-0 in favor of Tower Hill. Friends' QB/DB Jack Kempner would return the favor with a pick of his own to keep Tower Hill within one score headed into halftime.

On the first play from scrimmage in the second half, Murphy would add to his team's advantage with another long TD run upping, the score to 14-0. The Quakers would battle back and cut into the deficit in the 3rd quarter with a TD pass from Jack Kempner to Jake Erskine on a well designed play action pass. But after the teams traded turnovers, the Hillers would score two unanswered touchdowns and clinch their 10th win of the season by a final score of 28-7.

Tower Hill will now wait to see how they are seeded for the playoffs after a 10-0 regular season, while Wilmington Friends finishes up their season at 4-5.
