Wilmington police say a 22-year-old city man was arrested Saturday after officers received an anonymous tip about alleged drug dealing.

Two patrol officers arrived at the 800 block of Morrow Street around 1:42 p.m. after receiving a report by community members of someone engaged in drug transactions.

Police say the officers approached Davon Avant-Crosby, who was standing on the block and matched the description provided in the tip.

Avant-Crosby allegedly began turning his body away from the officers, and police say a pat down revealed a plastic bag containing 5.6 grams of crack cocaine in his pocket.

Police say officers later learned Avant-Crosby had two capiases for his arrest.

He was arraigned at JP Court 20 and released after posting $5,000 cash bail.
