Summer blends adding to the price at the pump

As the national average gas price climbs, locally costs remain stable.

According to Triple A Mid Atlantic the average cost of a gallon of unleaded regular in Delaware fell a penny last week to $3.46.

Spokesperson Jim Lardear says price increases are a Spring ritual as the costlier summer blends are now hitting the pumps.

He says the national average should peak in the next few weeks.

Lardear adds that one consolation is that prices are lower now than they were at this time last year.
